Honoring Life’s Final Chapter with Peace and Presence

In-Person and Regional Virtual End-of-Life Doula Support for Families and Pets

Facing life’s final chapter requires a comforting, local presence. From our farm near Wymore, Serenity brings dedicated end-of-life doula care and pet transition support directly to homes and facilities within our 300-mile region. Whether you need hands-on assistance in Southeast Nebraska and Northern Kansas, travel to Missouri and Iowa, or remote support within our four-state area, I am here to help your family navigate this journey.

Our Local Service Communities & Tri-State Travel Area

Based on a farm near Wymore, Nebraska, Serenity End-of-Life Doula provides dedicated, compassionate care across a wide region. I regularly travel within a 300-mile radius to support both people and their beloved pets in their homes, hospitals, or care facilities.

This extensive travel area covers communities throughout Southeast Nebraska, Northern Kansas, Western Missouri, and Southwest Iowa. In addition to our immediate neighbors in Beatrice, Fairbury, Pawnee City, Tecumseh, Lincoln, and Marysville, and across Gage, Jefferson, and Marshall counties, this 300-mile radius allows me to provide in-person care to families in and around major regional hubs, including:

  • Omaha and Bellevue, Nebraska
  • Topeka, Manhattan, and Kansas City, Kansas
  • Kansas City and St. Joseph, Missouri
  • Council Bluffs and Des Moines, Iowa

For long-distance travel within this region, customized logistics and travel arrangements can be gently discussed during our initial consultation.

Compassionate Virtual Care, Anywhere in Our Region

Distance should never be a barrier to receiving support during life’s most tender transitions. For families living outside my 300-mile physical travel radius, or for those who simply prefer remote assistance, I offer comprehensive virtual doula services via phone and secure video calls across our four-state area.

These virtual services are fully available for both human family members and companion animals facing the end of life. Remote support provides the exact same high level of emotional presence, education, and planning as in-person care. Together, we can handle:

  • Vigil Planning & Legacy Creation: Crafting meaningful end-of-life plans, comfort strategies, and memory projects for individuals and families.
  • Family & Caregiver Guidance: Educating loved ones on what to expect and how to provide physical and emotional comfort.
  • Pet Transition & Loss Support: Helping families navigate the unique grief of a pet's declining health, veterinary hospice support coordination, and senior pet comfort planning.
  • Grief & Emotional Presence: Holding space for difficult conversations and processing emotions safely from the comfort of your own home.

Availability & Urgent Support

I operate on a flexible schedule to meet the unique flow of end-of-life needs. While standard consultations are scheduled during regular business hours, I provide dedicated 24/7 on-call availability for active vigils and immediate, transition-focused care when a client reaches their final days.

If you are unsure which option best fits your needs, please reach out. A gentle conversation is always welcome.

Frequently Asked Questions

What services do you offer?

Serenity offers compassionate, non-medical end-of-life doula support, including emotional presence, education, legacy work, family support, vigil support, planning conversations, and peaceful companionship for individuals and loved ones.

How can end-of-life education help my family?

End-of-life education can help families feel less afraid and more prepared. I gently explain what an end-of-life doula does, what support may be helpful, and how families can create a calmer, more meaningful experience during life’s final chapter.

How do you ensure privacy and respect during this sensitive time?

Every person and family deserves dignity, privacy, and compassion. I approach each conversation with respect, confidentiality, and deep care for your values, beliefs, wishes, and personal story.

Do you replace hospice or medical care?

No. An end-of-life doula does not replace hospice, doctors, nurses, clergy, or medical care. My role is non-medical support — offering comfort, education, emotional presence, legacy support, and companionship alongside the care team and family.

"The end of life deserves as much beauty, care and respect as the beginning."
